Here are 6 helpful tips to ensure you get the most out of your hot tub this winter!

1.) Before you enjoy a dip in your spa, pop some towels in the dryer for a couple minutes and keep them in a container to retain the heat. That way when you the towel will keep you warm and comfortable in cold winter weather when exiting your hot tub.

2.) Have a hot drink with you. Sure a hot tub will warm you up in seconds, but enjoying a hot drink will warm you up from the inside out! Make sure to use Styrofoam or plastic cup to avoid any glass from breaking.

3.) Keep an umbrella by your hot tub in case it begins to rain. Winter is notoriously known as unexpected rain season, and therefore it is important to be ready for any type of unexpected weather. Yes, you can even enjoy your hot tub through light rain. It is advised to stay in doors during a thunderstorm.

4.) Make sure to wear slippers when heading to your hot tub. In winter, rain or snow can make hot tub surfaces slippery and cause a fall. By wearing slippers you’ll not only keep your feet warm in the cold, but you’ll also keep from slipping and falling.

5.) Make sure to wear moisturizer on your face in extreme cold conditions. Since your body will remain protected and submerged in water, it is important to protect your face from getting over-exposed to the cold. However, make sure to avoid getting moisturizer in your spa water to keep your spa clean.

6.) Lastly, remember to use a spa cover during winter. A spa cover will ensure that your spa’s temperature remains steady and ready to enjoy!
